Plans and product scope
Wispr's published pricing includes a free plan with up to 2,000 words a week on desktop. Pro adds unlimited dictation and is currently $15 per user monthly or $12 per user per month when billed annually. VocalCode has a 30-day trial and is $4.99 once, plus applicable tax. The products also fund different things. Wispr provides cloud AI rewriting, personalisation, meeting features and mobile apps. VocalCode deliberately avoids AI rewriting; its meeting recorder, transcript and evidence-linked extractive notes stay local.

The honest summary
If AI rewriting, cross-device features or mobile support matter, Wispr Flow is the more capable product. Wispr also says that cloud transcription is always used, while disabling Private Cloud Sync makes audio and transcripts get discarded after each request; its Data Controls page explains retention and training settings. Choose VocalCode when you want a smaller tool that keeps recognition local. VocalCode still uses the internet for initial trial setup, checkout, activation, periodic licence refresh, model downloads and update checks; none of those requests include recognition audio or transcripts.
